Our Father Arturo Castellanos, one of the two German-born sons of Col. Castellanos (pictured below), was born in Hamburg while Abuelo (grandpa) was serving there as Consul General of El Salvador.

Fast forward a few decades - our Father married our Mother Yolanda Alvarado but left her with three young children - Ulysses, Alvaro and Boris. Our single mother was left to fend for us alone in war-torn El Salvador and eventually she brought us to Canada to escape the very bloody civil war. Growing up in Canada we became totally disconnected from our dad and the Castellanos half of our family in the old country.

Living in Toronto during the 90's, we turned to artistic careers as the story of grandpa Castellanos took many incredible turns, culminating in 2010 when he received the posthumous honour of 'Righteous among the Nations' from Yad Vashem and the State of Israel.
